Here's how to become involved
Irvin Learning Farm’s programs would not be possible without the partnership and support of the Triangle Land Conservancy, volunteers and donors to our Scholarship Fund. Read more below about how you can support Irvin Learning Farm’s work to connect children of all ages to the natural world.
Support the Triangle Land Conservancy
Triangle Land Conservancy's mission is to protect important open space in Chatham, Durham, Johnston, Lee, Orange and Wake counties to help keep our region a healthy and vibrant place to live and work. Your membership contribution helps protect our community’s rivers, streams, wildlife, farmland, forestland, and scenic beauty as the Triangle region grows. http://www.triangleland.org/friends/join.shtml
Send a Kid to Camp! Become a Donor to the Irvin Learning Farm Scholarship Fund
Irvin Learning Farm provides a unique experience for children to explore, make discoveries and learn about the natural world. We want to make this opportunity available to all children, especially those who would not otherwise have this experience. Gifts to our scholarship fund provide tuition for needy students, transportation to and from Irvin Learning Farm, healthy lunches, snacks and water, extra clothing and supplies and special outreach projects and enhancements to our programs. Donations from individuals and small businesses have allowed us to serve increasing numbers of youngsters, with close to 20% of our 2010 summer enrollment being scholarship students. Help us continue to reach out to children and families in the community. To print your tax-deductible donation form, click here.
Join the Triangle Land Conservancy Conservation Corps
TLC’s Conservation Corps is a group of volunteers that meets each Thursday from 9:00 – 12:00 to work on a variety of land stewardship projects focusing on both the Irvin Farm Nature Preserve and other TLC preserved sites. To become a Conservation Corps volunteer, contact Walt Tysinger, TLC’s Land Manager, wtysinger@tlc-nc.org
